Corporate Involvement

Examples of Past Events:

  • Annual ACM trip to Disney World, sponsored by Disney
  • Speaker presentations from various companies, including Amazon, Disney and Lockheed Martin
  • Company Info-sessions before and after the Career Development Workshop and UF Career Showcase

For the 2009-2010 year, it is ACM's goal to bring more speakers to the University of Florida. Seminars provide a unique experience for students to learn about industry topics that are not typically covered in a theory-based classroom setting. Moreover, seminars provide a more casual environment for students. This year, we would like to target speakers interested in Database Design, Object Oriented practices/theory/implementation, Networking technology, Operating Systems research/technology, and/or corporate transition (e.g. transitioning from research/theory based education to industry implementation).

If you or your company is interested in involvement with ACM, please contact us! For speaker presentations, travel arrangements can be worked out appropriately. ACM is able to provide a variety of venues for any event.
